	SOME STUDIES ON THE FUNGI OF KALLAR GRASS (DIPLACHNE FUSCA (L.) P. BEAUV.) COMPOST Kauser A. Malik and G.R. Sandhu Abstract: Both thermophilic and mesophilic fungi have been isolated from an experimental kallar grass (Diplachne fused) straw compost. The occurrence of these fungi has been correlated to the variation in temperature and pH of the compost. The decomposition of kallar grass has been studied by the sequential estimation of dry matter. Humus has also been estimated curing the composting of kallar grass cuttings. Nuclear Institute for Agriculture & Biology, Lyallpur.
