CHEMOTAXONOMIC STUDIES OF THE GENUS MEDICAGO L. (PAPILIONOIDEAE) FROM PAKISTAN K. AZIZ, S.Z. HUSAIN AND N.JAHAN Abstract: The flavonoid chemistry of 7 species belonging to 4 subgenera of the genus Medicago L, has been reported for the first time from Pakistan. The flavonoid pattern strongly support the infrageneric classification of the genus. It also seems to be useful to solve the problems at inter and infraspeciflc levels.
