SHAUKAT HUSSAIN* AND ABDUL GHAFFAR

Abstract: Effect of tillage practices on population and viability of sclerotia of Sclerotium oryzae and yield of rice was examined. Maximum tillage showed complete loss in viability of sclerotia at 0-5 cm soil surface and at (15-20 cm) depth. Yield of rice increased by 59% in maximum tillage as compared to minimum and no-tillage treatments.
