RUST FUNGUS PUCCINIA SMILACIS ON SMILAX EXCELSA IN ANATOLIA ELSAD HÜSEYIN* AND MAKBULE KARAHAN
Abstract: Puccinia smilacis Schwein., member of the family Pucciniaceae
(Uredinales, Basidiomycota) is reported for the first time on Smilax
excelsa L., from Turkey. The morphological and microscopical features
of this fungus are described and illustrated based on Turkish samples.
