TWO NEW SPECIES OF
EUPHRASIA (OROBANCHANCEAE) FROM PAKISTAN AND ADJOINING
AREAS

Abstract:
A morphological
analysis of Euphrasia densiflora complex and E.
jaeschkei complex from Pakistan and adjoining areas was carried out.
Principal component analysis of 46 OTU’s for E. densiflora
complex and 27 OTU’s for E. jaeschkei were employed which
resulted in the recognization of E. densiflora Pennell sensu
stricto, E. jaeschkei Wettst. sensu stricto
and two new species E. omeri Qaiser & T. Siddiqui and E. alii
Qaiser & T. Siddiqui. The relationship of the allied species has also
been discussed.
