TAXONOMIC STUDY OF SOME EUGLENOID ALGAE ALONG G.T. ROAD BETWEEN SHAHDARA AND GUJRANWALA

Abstract: Six taxa of algae (phylum Euglenophycota Shameel) were collected from various freshwater habitats in the Punjab Province of Pakistan during April and June 1989. They have been taxonomically investigated and were found to include two unreported taxa from Pakistan i.e., Euglena oxyuris var. charkoviensis Bourrelly and e. o. f. minima Bourrelly.
