WHEAT PRODUCTION AS INFLUENCED BY PLANTING TIME UNDER RAINFED CONDITION OF ELMARJ-LIBYA RAHMAT ULLAH KHAN AND ABDUR RASHID Abstract: Field experiments on seeding dates were conducted during 1990-91 and 1991-92 to determine the optimum time for sowing of wheat crop under rainfed condition. Early as well as late sowing of wheat reduced the yield. The optimum time of planting of Durum wheat variety Mexicale was found to be 4 to 21December to obtain maximum grain production.
