SARWAR, IKRAMUL HAQ and NIGHAT BASHIR Abstract: One hundred and two isolates of Ascochyra rabiei differing in their cultural characters were selected for pathotype analysis from a large collection of isolates obtained from chickpea growing areas of Pakistan during 1984 - 92. On the basis of pathogenicity on 11chickpea differentials, the isolates were classified into 8 pathogenic groups. Out of 102 isolates tested, only 6 were highly virulent, 8 least virulent whereas others were in between-the two extremes.
