Aytan.Kh.Fatdayeva
Abstract
Hypericum (Hypericaceae Juss.) is one of the most diverse plant genera in the angiosperms, which occur as perennial evegreen or deciduous herbs, shrubs and sometimes trees (H.bequaertii De Wild., H.revolutum Vahl., H.canariense L.). This genus is characterized by the existence of different types of secretory channels (transculent glands, black nodules, secretory canals) which contains bioactive compounds (such as hypericins, hyperforin). Species of this genus are found in all botanical and geographical regions of Azerbaijan. The aim of work is to study description of the anatomical characteristics ( root and stem) of Hypericum species spreading in Azerbaijan flora. In anatomical investigation, cross-sections from the root and stems of the plant were examined by a light microscope Axiocam (Zeiss, 105 clor).
