A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW ON THE CONTAMINATION OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES BY PESTICIDES IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD

Abstract
Pesticides are used for agricultural practices widely for an increase in the production of food to feed a growing population. But pesticides have harmful effects on the environment. The pesticides have contaminated the food we are using and it is causing health risks. This review article covers the data for analysis of the contamination of fruits and vegetables by pesticides worldwide in a systematic manner. The data is for 5 years from 2015 to 2020. The chlorpyrifos is detected in a maximum number of research articles studied as the most commonly found pesticide. Many of the pesticides detected have greater than the Maximum residual limit (MRL).
