Abstract
ABSTRACT The following investigation was carried out to check out the presence of metals in the three vegetables. The methods used in this investigation was digestion method and atomic absorption spectrometry. Each vegetable has two sample one was grown in home and other was selected from bazar. The three vegetable samples were Trigonella foenum-graecum, Brassica campestris and Anethum graveolens. The result represents the different absorption of heavy metals in these vegetable samples. The metals which were detected in these vegetables were Cu, Cd, Fe, Zn, Pb, Cr and Ni. In Trigonella foenum-graecum the value of Cu was high in sample grown in home. In Brassica the concentration of Fe was high in sample grown in home. In Anethum graveolens the value of Fe was high in sample grown in home. Over all the value of Fe was high in Coriandrum sativum (bazar) as compared to all vegetable samples. Key Word; Heavy metal.Vegetables. Atomic absorption spectroscopy
