Abstract
Agriculture and global food production confront numerous difficulties. To foster the growing global human population, ecologically friendly and sustainable measures are needed. Herein the application of micro biome has been studied, as the soil has sufficient nutrients that are available which results in the production of a larger yield of crop. The application of organic chemical fertilizers may have a good impact on plant quality. To achieve higher levels of yield it is necessary to provide crop plants with enough nutrients. In this study, Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains (PGPR-1 and PGPR-2) are used as a drench method to check their efficacy on plant biomass and productivity. Culture filtrates of P. aeruginosa strains along with neem cake amendment and chemical fertilizer showed significant results either used as alone or mixed with an amendment. The treatments also enhanced the defense mechanism of plants by improving the polyphenols, salicylic acid, and antioxidants which are related to the defense of plants. The fruit quality of treated plants showed significant outcomes as compared to the control plant. The capacity of P. aeruginosa as a biocontrol agent was boosted by soil modification. Although there is a wealth of information about the integrated effect of biocontrol or as biocontrol agent’s counter to diseases and some pests, there is little or no data about their use against diseases caused by phytopathogens and the effect on plant tolerance to abiotic stresses. More research is therefore required to determine the precise mechanisms underlying this synergistic effect in certain lines of research.
