THE STUDY ON THE DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS OF NITROGEN-FIXING VASCULAR PLANTS IN FANJING MOUNTAIN BASED ON THE FOOD SOURCES OF RHINOPITHECUS BRELICHI

Abstract
The Rhinopithecus brelichi is one of the three species of golden monkey endemic to China. It is also one of the three species with the most stringent environmental requirements and narrowest distribution. Due to factors such as climate change and human disturbance, the distribution range of Rhinopithecus brelichi is becoming smaller and smaller. Therefore , it is of great significance to understand the distribution characteristics of nitrogen-fixing vascular plants in Fanjing Mountain based on the food source of Rhinopithecus brelichi. In this paper, the feeding habits of Rhinopithecus brelichi were recorded and analyzed through field investigation，literature review and interview survey, and the distribution characteristics of nitrogen-fixing vascular plants in Fanjing Mountain based on the food source of Rhinopithecus brelichi were further studied. The results show that Rhinopithecus brelichi mainly feeds on leaves, flowers and young fruits of nitrogen-fixing vascular plants such as Cladrastis wilsonii and Elaeagnus glabra. Among them, Elaeagnus glabra leaves are one of the food of Rhinopithecus brelichi in winter, and mainly distribute in the area of 1300-2100 meters above sea level. Therefore, we should consider whether we can expand the distribution of nitrogen-fixing vascular plants in Fanjing Mountain to provide adequate food supply and improve the living environment for Rhinopithecus brelichi, and in order to establish and expand new suitable habitats environment for the ecological corridors of Rhinopithecus brelichi, and promote the expansion of Rhinopithecus brelichi population. This conclusion will provide theoretical basis for the conservation of Rhinopithecus brelichi in Guizhou province.
