Natural regeneration of white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa L.) during the dry season in Ejido La solución in Paraíso, Tabasco, México
Baltazar Sanchez Diaz
Abstract
In Order to evaluate the growth and natural regeneration of the white mangrove, it was measured the diameter at breast height, height, and crown diameter. The objective was to estimate the natural regeneration and the growth and in the seedling stage of the white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa [A.] Gray) during the dry season in the year 2023. In the common lands La Solución Somos Todos, Paraiso, Tabasco. The measurements were carried out in three permanent sampling plots of white mangroves. Structural variables as DBH, height, and crown. A statistical analysis was realized. With the data obtained means were calculated of the three sampling plots. The DBH data were 0.34, 0.37 and 0.42 m; height 1.34, 1.28 and 1.58 m; and cup 44.18, 38.56 and 39.83 cm, respectively. The differences in the growth of the mangrove Laguncularia racemosa were attributed to different climatic and physiological factors since each mangrove species responds according to local environmental variables.
