CYCLOCYBE AEGERITA: A NEW RECORD FOR PAKISTAN IN THE STROPHARIACEAE FAMILY OF AGARICALES

Abstract
In this study, we introduce a new record in the genus Cyclocybe from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. These specimens have been collected from district Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively during the monsoon season of 2022. Molecular phylogenetic analysis of internal transcribes spacer (ITS) and morpho-anatomical approaches were used to identify the accurate position of the species. The results showed that the macro and micro morphological characters of the Pakistani collection coincide with their respective type specimens. Fresh photographs in their habitat, microscopic features, and detailed descriptions are provided here.
