Abstract
The Pakistani soils are deficient in organic matter, and ultimately in nitrogen and phosphorus. To overcome this problem, a technology can be developed to integrate the organic and inorganic source of plant nutrients for getting optimum yield on sustainable basis. In this regard, a study on the response of wheat to Trichoderma, NPK and poultry manure application as fertilizer a field experiment was conducted at Jamra research farm, Takhtbhai. The study was conducted in RCBD two factorial with three replications. The experiment was comprised of two factors Trichoderma (With, Without) and fertilizer (NPK, Poultry manure). Plot size 5 m x 5 m. Application of NPK level (120-90-60 kg ha-1) on wheat resulted in higher emergence (43.08 m-2), plant height (96.63 cm), productive tillers (317.42), 1000 grain weight (42.67 g), total grain yield (3284 kg ha-1), biological yield (8925 kg ha-1), straw yield (5415 kg ha-1), OM (0.89 %), Nitrogen (0.98 g kg-1), phosphorus (6.31g kg-1), potassium (89.84 g kg-1), Grain N (1.32 %), grain P (0.23 %), grain K (0.25 %), Straw N (0.34 %), straw P (0.26 %), straw K (0.12 5) grain N, P & K uptake (37.05, 12.35 & 20.54 kg ha-1), straw N, P, & K (18.62, 10.06 & 16.37 kg ha-1) and total N, P & K (62.89, 20.03 & 31.91 kg ha-1) as compared control treatment. Among treatment application treatment @ PM + Trichoderma resulted in higher Application of Trichoderma on wheat resulted in higher plant height (95.86 cm), productive tillers (315.00), 1000 grain weight (41.17 g), grain yield (3197 kg ha-1),biological yield (8515 kg ha-1), straw yield (5218 kg ha-1), organic matter (0.92 kg ha-1), nitrogen (0.96 g kg -1), phosphorus (5.58 g kg-1), potassium (98.27 g kg -1), Grain N concentration (1.36 %), grain P conc (0.23 %), grain K conc (0.27 %), Straw N conc(0.34 %), straw P (0.26 %), straw K (0.13), grain N, P & K uptake (40.37, 12.46 & 21.30 kg ha-1), straw N, P & K uptake (21.35, 10.76 & 16.14 kg ha-1) and total N, P & K uptake (64.54, 22.47 & 29.59 kg ha-1) as compared control treatment. In light of the results obtained from current research, application of Trichoderma PM + full dose NPK application is recommended for optimum growth, yield and yield components of wheat under agro ecological conditions of Takhtbhai.
