DETERMINATION OF SOME AGRICULTURAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF SOYBEAN CULTIVARS/CULTIVAR CANDIDATES IN SECOND PRODUCT CONDITIONS
SERIF KAHRAMAN
Abstract
This research aimed to assess the yield and quality of soybean cultivars suitable for second-crop conditions. The trials were conducted in Diyarbakir province in 2018 and 2019, using a Randomized Complete Block Design. The genotype*year interaction revealed that the Blaze cultivar yielded the highest grain yield at 3861 kg ha-1, while the Bravo cultivar had the lowest at 2622 kg ha-1. Additionally, the Blaze cultivar showed the lowest oil rate at 21.6%, while the KA-08-09-2 cultivar candidate exhibited the highest at 23.1%. Based on the GGE biplot analysis, the cultivar candidate KA-08-03-1 and Blaze cultivar displayed the large values for protein ratio, number of pods, grain yield. Over the two years of the experiment, the cultivar candidate KA-08-09-1 demonstrated favorable results in terms of pods per plant, grain yield, oil rate, and thousand-grain weight. Similarly, the cultivar candidate KA-08-03-1 exhibited promising performance in terms of pods per plant, grain yield, and protein rate.
