MONITORING OF MULTIPLE PESTICIDE RESIDUES IN SOME FRUITS IN KARACHI, PAKISTAN

Abstract
One hundred and twenty samples of different fruits including apple, apricot, persimmon, chiku, citrus, grapes, guava, mango, papaya, peach, plum and pomegranate procured from different selling points of Karachi, Pakistan during 2008-2009, were analyzed for monitoring of multiple pesticide residues using GC/FID and HPLC/UV. The results showed exceeding level of contamination.
