Auxin in zea mays L. coleoptile segments , saturation of absorption and transport at various concentrations
Abstract
This paper re-examines the effects of various concentartions of indoleacetic acid-2-14C on its absorption and translocation efficiencies. Using zea mays L. coleoptile segments and by considering absorption and translocation as discrete phenomena it has benn found that the maximum efficiency of the tissue is achieved between 0.2-0.4 mg/l
