Effect of eythanol on the survival and catalase activity of some filaments fungi under high pressures of oxygen
Abstract
Survival of replacement cultures of aspergillus niger, mucor racemosus M. plumbeus and rhizopus oryzae were markedly effected by the presence of one percent ethanol under hyperbaric oxtgen . this effect of ethanol on survval time was accomplained by an initial increase in catalase activity which was maintained for quite prolonged period of time.
