Abstract
Three major cell wall components i.e. lignin,
holocellulose and alphacellulose were determined for earlywood (juvenile wood) and latewood (adultwood) among innerwood and outer wood and in different height levels in Blue Pine trees. Latewood was consistently lower in lignin content and higher in holocellulose and alphacellulose content than earlywood.
