Ethnomedicinal folk recipes of some plants of Chakesar valley, Shangla, Khyber Pakhtonkhwa, Pakistan

Abstract
The present studies aimed at investigating ethno medicinal recipes of some medicinal product of Chakesar, District Shangla, Khyber Pakhton Khwa, Pakistan. Questionnaire method was used to document the indigenous folk recipes knowledge. A total of 22 plant species belonging to 15 families were recognized, used as folk recipes by the locals for various treatments. Asthma, skin diseases, urinary disorder, gastric trouble and hemorrhoids are the common diseases prevailing in the area. The people had their own system of treatment since long ago.
