Abstract
A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of micronutrient fertilization on increasing iron and zinc content of rice genotypes. A total of 180 paddy genotypes were planted in augmented design, accommodated in five blocks and each block consisted of 36 genotypes and four checks. Results revealed that, in control plot the iron and zinc content was ranged from 4.80 to 75.0 ppm and 2.21 to 79.85 ppm, respectively. Foliar feeding of iron @ 1 % and zinc @ 0.5 % effectively improved the iron and zinc content in rice genotypes. However, among genotypes IET-22147 in both the years for iron and IET-22017 during 2014 and GNV-SW-L149 during 2015 for Zn showed good response to foliar application.
