Abstract
The objectives of our study are to distinguish the competence of alkali insoluble polysaccharides for their iron binding capacity of aerial stem of Equistem Debile roxb. Iron binding capacity of remains obtains at the end of succeeding polysaccharides analysis subjected for analysis. The capacity of polysaccharide to bind with iron was calculated as FeSO4 equivalent µg/100µg (R2=0.9533) in filtrate and residue. Our result disclose that iron binding capacity µg/100µg of stem more in remains then filterate propose that alkali insoluble polysaccharides of aerial stem of Equistem Debile roxb possess favorable iron binding capacity and can be used as a medication in pharmacological formulations. Key words: Iron binding capacity, Equistem Debile roxb, polysaccharides insoluble fraction
