Abstract
Cucurbitaceae is one of the most important flowering families. Its foliar epidermal anatomy owns the information to solve the disputes of assorted genera’s. The most imperative character which is being deliberated is the stomatal type, epidermal cells and Trichomes type. Some species of the family are hypostamatic and other are amphistomatic.25% actinocytic stomata exist and 4% cyclocytic stomata are seen in the family. In accumulation to it Anisocytic, Diacytic, Anomocytic, Paracytic, and Staurocytic stomata are contemporary in family. Stomatal index in abaxial surfaces ranges from 5.3 to 22.2 and stomatal index in adaxial surface ranges from 3.1 to 24.Morover palynology is also being discussed. Mostly globular pollens are seen but echinate, psilate and colpate pollens are also present in the family. Palynology and foliar epidermal anatomy play a significant role in the taxonomy of plants and help to identify different species. Also a proposed key is accessible for species demarcation
