Abstract
Biogenic AuNPs were efficiently produced by fabrication of AuCl3 ions using the methanol extract of Trillium govanianum. Nano-particles were characterized by UV–visible spectroscope, atomic force electron microscope (AFM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), FTIR spectroscope, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). SEM pattern revealed that particle were of various size and spherical shape. XR diffractogram displayed FCC (Face centered cubic crystal gold nanoparticles. FTIR profile showed that AuNPs were stabilized and capped by bio-molecules containing aromatic amine functional group. AFM analysis indicated that particles were in the Nano range. Investigation of antimicrobial potential of AuNPs at 3 different concentrations against different microbial strains indicated good antimicrobial potential.
