ETHNOMEDICINAL PLANTS USAGE AMONG AKAZAI TRIBES OF DISTRICT TORGHAR, KPK, PAKISTAN

Abstract
In this study first time ethnomedicinal study have been done in Akazai tribes of District Torghar, KPK, Pakistan. The study is aim to collect information about medicinal plants using around Akazai areas and to transfer this useful knowledge to new generations. In this study 76 species are reported from 48 different families. Most dominating family is Lamiaceae with 6 species, 4 species are reported from each of Astereacea and Solanaceae family, 3 species are reported from each of Apiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Polygonaceae and Brasicaceae family, 2 species are reported from each of Amaranthaceae, Araceae, Asclepiadaceae, Cuscutaceae, Mimosaceae, Oxalidaceae, Rosaceae, Rutaceae and Urticaceae family, single 1 specie reported from each of Acanthaceae, Adiantaceae, Anacardiaceae, Apocynaceae, Asphodelaceae, Aspleniaceae, Berberidaceae, Caesalpinaceae, Cannabaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Convallariaceae, Cornaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Geraniaceae, Hippocastanaceae, Liliaceae, Malvaceae, Meliaceae, Oleaceae, Paeoniaceae, Papaveraceae, Pinaceae, Plantaginaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rhamnaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Spindaceae, Thymeliaceae, Violaceae and Zygophyllaceae families.
