The identification and analysis of MADS-box family genes in Fragaria Vesca
LING ZHENG
Abstract
The MADS-box family is a large family of transcription factors that play an important role in the growth and development of flowers and fruits. Based on bioinformatics analysis in this study, 86 Fragaria Vesca MADS-box(FvMADS-Box) genes have been identified by searching the Phytozome and PlantTFDB databases; 49 M-type MADS genes and 37 MIKC-MADS genes. Comprehensive analyses were conducted on the biochemical characterization, evolutionary relationships, chromosome localization, conserved motifs, and gene expression patterns of related family genes. The results indicated that M-type-MADS genes can be divided into the following four subfamilies: Mα, Mβ, Mγ, and Mσ. The MIKC-MADS genes can be divided into the seven following subfamilies: AP3, AG, SEP, AP1, SVP, SOC1, and AGL17. The MADS-box family genes were unevenly distributed on chromosomes. Four M-type-MADS genes and 18 MIKC-MADS genes were expressed during the development of Fragaria Vesca fruits. The numbers of 4 M-type-MADS genes and 18 MIKC-MADS genes were 24 and 32 during flower development, respectively. This study provides a significant foundation for future research of the Fragaria Vesca MADS-box family gene structure and function.
