Gulbanu
Abstract
The article presents the species diversity of the flora of the Ketpen ridge, which is the eastern tip of the Northern Tien Shan. The flora of the Ketpen ridge has 1766 species of vascular plants belonging to 585 genera and 111 families. Angiosperms make up 98.4% of the ridge’s flora, of which 80.0% are dicotyledonous and 18.5% are monocotyledonous. Analysis of the largest flora families of the entire Ketpen range allowed us to identify 28 of the largest families by the largest number of species. The families with the largest number of species are Asteraceae (272 species), Poaceae (156), Fabaceae (128), Brassicaceae (97), Rosaceae (88), Caryophyllaceae (82), Chenopodiaceae (69), Lamiaceae (66), Ranunculaceae (60), Scrophulariaceae (54) Cyperaceae (52), Apiaceae (50), Boraginaceae (46), Polygonaceae (39), Alliaceae (33), Liliaceae (27), Gentianaceae (25), Salicaceae (21), Primulaceae (19) and other. The major genera are: Astragalus (42 видов), Allium (33), Carex (32), Potentilla (31), Taraxacum (27), Artemisia (24), Ranunculus (22), Oxytropis (21), Veronica (19), Saussurea (18). For the Ketpen ridge, one of the largest genera is the Astragalus genus, which consists of 42 species that are represented by 6 subgenera and 24 sections according to the N.F. Goncharov. On the Ketpen ridge, as part of the genus Astragalus, there is one rare, narrowly endemic species that is listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan - Astragalus rubtzovii Boriss. which grows on relict sands "Kum-Tekey" in the Kegen valley at an altitude of 1869 m above sea level.
