Abstract Seeds of castor (Ricinus communis L.) were collected from Karachi to detect the seed-borne mycoflora. In this study seed borne mycoflora of castor seed was examined by using ISTA (International Seed Testing Association). Six genera and eleven different species of fungi were isolated among which Aspergillus flavus and A. niger were predominant followed by Chaetomium globosum and Fusarium solani.
