Abstract
Life form and leaf spectra of Sehnsa Hills were recorded during Spring and Monsoon seasons in 2018-2019. In total, 110 species were observed with dominance of Hemicryptophytes and Therophytes in both the seasons. During spring Hemicryptophytes and Therophytes were 26.47% and 24.59% respectively while during monsoon Hemicryptophytes and Therophytes were 29.54% and 25.45% respectively. Chamaephytes and lianas were in low number during both seasons. During spring Chamaephytes and lianas were 1.60% and 1.06% respectively while during monsoon Chamaephytes and lianas were 1.13% and 4.77% respectively. Similarly in leaf spectra Nanophylls were dominant during spring and monsoon, having share of 30.21% and 27.5% respectively while mesophylls were least in both season having share of 16.31% and 10.9% respectively. As the Therophytes and Hemicryptophytes were dominant species in all the communities so the area has Therophytic and Hemicryptophytic type of phytoclimate.
