MORPHOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL COMPARATIVE STUDY OF TWO TRIBE (BRASSICACEAE) IN ERBIL OF IRAQ

NAGLAA MUSTAFA Al-ABIDE
Abstract

The current research highlights two main themes in the field of classification, the first axis is interested in the study of the Morphological on which the traditional science of classification and necessary for the identification and diagnosis of species in the taxonomy field and the current study was interested in three species are Alyssium strigosum Banks & Soli, Clypeola jonthlaspi L. and Isatis tinctoria L. Consist two tribes belonging to Alysseae and Lepidieae. The general characteristics of the roots, stems, leaves, fruits and seeds were studied and it was noted through the study the similarity of the two species Alyssium strigosum , Clypeola jonthlaspi , and the reason for their belonging to a tribe Alysseae while the Isatis tinctoria species differed. With his appearance, being a Lepidieae tribe . While the second axis were interested in chemical classification and knowledge of the chemical content of secondary metabolism compounds, it was noted that there were 6 compounds: Alkaloids, Phenols, tannins, Terpenes, Falvonoides, Glycosides, Saponin, And a compound resulting from primary metabolic: Proteins, using several tests. The chemical detection of phenols was also performed using HPLC technology and the presence of four compounds were detected: Rutin , Quercetin, Kaempferol and p-coumarin. A difference in the concentration of phenolic compounds and the percentage of species under study was observed, although they were collected from one province. The importance Come from studying the chemical content for use in subsequent studies and knowing its uses in the medical fields.
